Durable builds a small business website from a few answers about your business and hosts it for you. Ploof Studio builds the site from one sentence on your Mac, then puts the files on accounts you own. Both are quick. They differ in where the site ends up.

What Durable does well
Durable is made for people who run a business and want to be online today. You tell it your industry, name and goals, and its site says it generates a complete site in around 30 seconds, with copy, images and a layout that works on phones.
The website is one part of a bigger kit. Durable also offers a CRM, bookings, invoices and payments, review tools, an AI blog writer and a brand and logo builder. Every site is hosted by Durable. The free plan gives you a preview on a durable.site address, and a custom domain comes with a paid plan.
The difference is where your site lives
Durable’s pricing page calls it a no-code solution that does not offer extensive HTML customization. We found no guide in its help center to exporting a site’s files. If you cancel, Durable offers to transfer your custom domain to you. The site itself is built and kept in Durable.
Ploof Studio is built the other way around.
- Every project is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript in a folder on your Mac, with no Ploof Studio code inside.
- When you are ready, Ploof Studio creates a repository on your GitHub and gets the site live on Vercel or GitHub Pages, or hands you a ZIP for any host.

Building and changing the site
In Ploof Studio you write one sentence, like a coffee cart in Lisbon that opens at seven. An agent writes the pages while you watch the preview fill in. When something looks wrong, you point at it and say what you want instead, and the edit lands in the preview. A toggle shows the page as a phone sees it.
Replies run on the Setapp AI credits in your membership, or on your own Anthropic, OpenAI, Vercel AI Gateway or OpenRouter key, stored encrypted on your Mac.
When Durable is the better pick
Durable is likely the better fit if you:
- Want your website, customer list, bookings and invoices in one place.
- Want a site live in a minute from a browser, on any computer.
- Would rather not have a GitHub account or think about hosting at all.
- Plan to keep the site on one platform for good.

- On Durable. Its pricing page says every Durable site is hosted on Cloudflare’s network, with a free preview on a durable.site address and a custom domain on paid plans.
- Can I move a Durable site to another host?
- Durable describes itself as a no-code builder without extensive HTML customization, and its help center does not describe exporting a site’s files. It does offer to transfer your custom domain to you if you cancel.
